Admission to MSW Program


APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED ANY TIME
PRIORITY DATE: August 1st

Applications received by August 1 of any year will be processed for admission as follows:

Advanced Standing 1-Year program will be admitted for summer or fall semesters as indicated in the application.

Generalist MSW 2-year program applicants will be processed for admission in the fall semester

 

Requirements for the MSW Clinical/Activist Program

Regular 2-Year Track

  • Must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in something other than social work.
Advanced Standing 1-Year Track
  • Must have a BSW from a CSWE accredited university.
  • Must have taken human biology (3 cr), introduction to psychology (3 cr), introduction to sociology (3 cr), and statistics (3 cr).
  • Must have minimum GPA of 3.0 within past 5 years in BSW program
  • Must obtain BSW by the end of the Spring semester prior to starting the MSW program.

**The program does not require or consider the GRE in admissions decisions.

Admitted applicants must confirm in writing their intention to enroll in the program. This confirmation should be emailed to  Dr. Robert Villa, MSW Clinical/Activist Program Director.
