Camper Information
Camp Schedule
- Camp is August 20th - 23rd, 2024
- Early move in for those living on campus will be August 20th before camp check in that evening!
- We will be at Camp Zephyr in Sandia, Texas and return to campus August 23rd.
Packing List For Camp
- Refillable water bottle
- Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes for 3 days of camp (Check weather for Sandia, TX)
- Pajamas for 2 nights of camp
- Mixer outfit(s)–themes will be sent out prior to camp!
- Pillow (bring in a large plastic trash bag if pillow will not fit in your luggage)
- Toiletries (shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc.)
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Towels
- Bed linens/sheets and a blanket or sleeping bag
- Medicines (Advil, Pepto, prescriptions, etc.)
- Underwear and socks
- Shower shoes
- Closed-toed shoes (Mandatory for all outdoor activities)
Other Recommended Items For Camp
- Bug Spray
- Sunscreen
- Flashlight
- Camera
- Phone charger
- Ear Plugs (for sleeping in cabins if you're a light sleeper!)
- Money for soft drinks & snacks & the camp store
- Your own snacks & drinks
- Umbrella or rain gear
- Water flavor enhancers if you don't like water from the fountain
- Open mind and a smile!!
Parking For Camp Check In
- If your vehicle will be staying on campus for the duration of camp, park in Parking Lot "I" near intramural fields.
- Parking Permits will not be required during Javelina Camp.

If you have any assistance requests that need to be placed, please inform us by e-mailing tamuk.javelinacamp@tamuk.edu. If these needs are not mentioned to us by e-mail before Monday, Aug. 2, 2023, Javelina Camp cannot guarantee any arrangements can be made.
