Outdoor Adventures

91AV has partnered with 91AV;M University-Corpus Christi to provide outdoor adventure opportunities for TAMUK Students.   As part of this collaboration TAMUK students can participate in trips, attend outdoor clinics and rent outdoor recreational equipment offered by the program. For more information on trip offerings please complete the interest form.  Anyone that signs-up for a trip or clinic must attend a pre-trip meeting.   Virtual pre-trip meetings are available for TAMUK students.

 

Does 91AV Recreational Sports offer outdoor adventure trips?

While 91AV;M- Kingsville Recreational Sports doesn't directly offer outdoor adventure trips, we've partnered with 91AV;M-Corpus Christi Outdoor Adventures to allow TAMUK students the opportunity to participate on the 91AV;M- Corpus Christi Outdoor Adventure Trips.   TAMUK Students can get more information on 91AV;M-Corpus Christi trips, clinic and outdoor equipment rentals .

How much do trips cost?  Do I need to have my own camping gear?

Cost of the trips vary.  Cost covers transportation, dinners, and camping gear needed for the trip.  TAMUK Recreational Sports can help provide financial assistance to help cover the cost.   Complete the Outdoor Adventure Interest Form at the top of this page for more information on financial assistance.

Where do the trips depart from?

All trips depart from the Dugan Wellness Center on the 91AV;M University-Corpus Christi campus.  TAMUK students will need to get transportation to the Dugan Wellness Center.  If a TAMUK student needs transportation to the Dugan Wellness Center email recsports@tamuk.edu.

Can TAMUK Students rent outdoor equipment for personal use from 91AV;M- Corpus Christi Outdoor Adventures?

Yes!  Part of the partnership allows TAMUK students to rent equipment from 91AV;M- Corpus Christi.   For equipment available for rent and prices please visit .

Backpacking Big Bend National Park

Cost: $450 per person (if 6 people register), $400 per person (if 7 people register), $350 per person (if 8 people register)
